Why is VAT applied to transactions made with Mastercard?

Value-added tax (VAT) is applicable to the commission invoiced by Edenred for transactions made through the Mastercard payment scheme; the contribution costs stipulated in your Edenred contract are invoiced afterwards.

For transactions recorded by Edenred, the transaction fees are deducted from your refunds and value-added tax (VAT) does not apply.
