How does payment with the electronic Consumption Voucher work?

Edenred has developed a solution that enables all the retailers partner of the network, irrespective of the terminal they use, to be able to accept the Consumption Voucher at their point of sale in accordance with the legislation.

There are several scenarios:

- If your terminal is linked to the cash register, check that it enables you to specify the Consumption Voucher product code. Find out more.
- If your terminal is an Atos Worldline model, check that it enables you to specify the Consumption Voucher product code. Otherwise, click here.
- If your system cannot send the Consumption Voucher product code, the automatic selection procedure will follow the rule of use for vouchers that expire first.

After checking that your system can send the Consumption Voucher product code, see the transaction procedure.

If your terminal and/or cash register enables you to specify the Consumption Voucher code
Download our explanatory guide for the checkout with the product code. On one double-sided page, your cashier staff will have all the information at hand.

  1. The customer mentions which voucher they wish to use: Ticket Restaurant, Ticket EcoCheque, Ticket Compliments, Ticket Sport & Culture or Consumption Voucher Edenred → The retailer indicates the voucher chosen on the terminal and/or the cash register.

Automatic verification of vouchers available on the Edenred card
Automatic selection of the voucher that expires first,
between the voucher chosen by the customer and Consumption Voucher

  2. If the remaining balance is sufficient to settle the total amount due
    The transaction automatically goes through.

If the remaining balance is not sufficient:
Either the transaction is rejected and you must start again with an amount adapted to the remaining balance.
Or the transaction goes through for an amount adapted to the remaining balance.

  3. Once the remaining balance has been used, you can then do another transaction to complete the amount if necessary, with another type of eligible voucher or even with another payment method.

  4. The retailer will be automatically reimbursed within 2 working days to the bank account entered in the contract. Find out more about the reimbursement of electronic Consumption Voucher transactions.
